“Don Brown Links for Learning Memorial Golf Tournament”
Our 22nd Annual “Don Brown Links for Learning” golf fundraiser is on October 09, 2023 at Morgan Run Club & Resort. Check-in at 10:00 a.m. Shotgun Start at 12:00 p.m. Each year the Mission Bay Real Estate Association (MBREA) puts on this golf event to raise money for the 4 elementary schools in Pacific Beach. This event was started in 2000 by MBREA member, Don Brown. As a longtime resident of Pacific Beach and a father of 3 children, Don was dedicated to giving back to the community. Through his efforts, MBREA has donated much needed funds to Crown Point Junior Music Academy, Barnard Asian Pacific Academy, Kate Sessions Elementary and Pacific Beach Elementary in excess of $240,000 in the past 21 years. Don passed away in 2017 but his spirit of giving and generosity lives on with our annual event.
In exchange for your tax-deductible donation, Links for Learning provides your business branding opportunities resulting in increased community visibility. As a participating sponsor, your logo will appear on the program flyer, MBREA website and multiple social media outlets, reaching thousands of community members. There are several different participation options:
Tee Sponsorship (4 alcohol holes and 14 regular holes): Below in the drop down box you will see the details for the costs
of sponsorship. Please note: prices are subject to change so make your selection and pay now! The tee is yours for the day so make the most of it! Brand it with signage, give away promotional items, serve beverages – whatever will get you and your business noticed!
Play the Tournament: Here’s your opportunity to play hooky from work – guilt free! It’s all for the kids! A minimum donation of $250 buys you a fun day of golf – including cart, range balls, goody bag, lunch and dinner.
Dinner and Raffle: Want to support the cause but not interested in playing? Please join us for dinner after the tournament. A minimum donation of $60 allows you to join the participants for dinner at the club… and stay for the fun raffle!
Raffle Prizes: For many of our non-golfing participants, it’s all about the raffle! Get visibility for your business by donating a prize or just purchase raffle tickets. We’ve seen everything from t-shirts to restaurant gift certificates to weekend getaways! Click here to only purchase raffle tickets.
